Payment & Private-Pay Model

All session fees are due at the time of service and can be paid by credit card or HSA/FSA.

Our practice is private-pay. We do not bill insurance or accept insurance as payment.

Private pay allows for:

  • Greater privacy from insurance involvement

  • The ability to address relational and other life concerns without needing an insurance-qualifying mental-health diagnosis solely for reimbursement purposes

  • Greater privacy around sensitive relational or substance-related concerns by keeping them out of insurance claims when reimbursement is not sought

  • Flexible session structure and frequency

Our clinicians maintain confidential clinical records as required by law. Minnesota rules require marriage and family therapists to maintain client records, including treatment planning and diagnosis.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement, please check with your insurance provider about your specific benefits and requirements.

Many plans may require:

  • A qualifying mental-health diagnosis
  • Medical necessity for treatment
  • Specific therapy and billing codes
  • Submission of a Superbill or other documentation

Superbills are available when clinically appropriate.
