A Thoughtful Place to Begin
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
You may know exactly what you want to change, or you may simply recognize that your current approach is no longer working.
Perhaps you feel caught in recurring patterns of emotional eating or overeating. You may have lost weight before but struggled to maintain it, or you may be exhausted by food noise, repeated attempts to start over, and the gap between knowing what to do and consistently following through.
The first step is a complimentary 20-minute coaching consultation.
This brief conversation gives us an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, answer your initial questions, and determine whether Insights Coaching may provide the kind of structure, accountability, and practical support you need.
What We Will Discuss
During the consultation, we will briefly discuss:
- What is bringing you to coaching
- Your primary goal or concern
- The kind of accountability, structure, and support you are looking for
- Whether coaching, therapy, or another form of support appears most appropriate
- Which coaching format may be the best fit for your needs and circumstances
- Any initial questions you have about how coaching works
The consultation is designed to help us assess general fit and next steps. It is not a coaching session or an in-depth assessment of your history, patterns, or previous efforts.
You are not expected to commit to a coaching format before we have had this conversation.
Choosing a Coaching Format
Insights Coaching currently offers three levels of support:
Group Coaching
A small, community-focused format offering weekly coaching, shared learning, encouragement, and accountability.
Dyad Coaching
A two-person format combining personalized attention with the connection, shared learning, and accountability of working alongside another participant.
Individual Coaching
Private, one-on-one support with highly personalized coaching and additional weekday accountability.
There is no single format that is best for everyone.
The most appropriate choice depends on the amount of privacy, personalization, accountability, community, and financial investment that feels right for you.
We will discuss these considerations together rather than expecting you to make the decision alone.
What Happens After the Consultation
If we agree that Insights Coaching is a good fit, we will identify the most appropriate available format and review the practical next steps.
This may include:
- Confirming the coaching format
- Discussing scheduling and availability
- Clarifying what coaching will initially focus on
- Reviewing participation expectations
- Completing the coaching agreement and enrollment process
- Establishing a starting date
New participants are asked to begin with the intention of completing an initial three-month Foundation Period.
This provides enough time to begin understanding your patterns, develop a realistic plan, practice new skills, and make thoughtful adjustments based on what happens in everyday life.
Coaching memberships are billed monthly and automatically renew while coaching remains active. Complete billing, cancellation, renewal, and participation terms will be provided in the Coaching Agreement before enrollment.
Insights Coaching May Be a Good Fit If You
- Understand much of what you want to do but struggle to follow through consistently
- Feel stuck in cycles of emotional eating, overeating, restriction, or repeatedly starting over
- Want to pursue weight loss without rigid dieting, shame, or extreme rules
- Have lost weight and want support maintaining it
- Want to reduce food noise and constant internal negotiation around eating
- Are using a GLP-1 medication and want help developing sustainable habits alongside it
- Are not using a GLP-1 medication and want a practical, behavior-based approach
- Want thoughtful structure without inflexible control
- Are willing to practice between sessions and learn from what happens
- Want accountability that includes both compassion and honest follow-through
- Are looking for sustainable change rather than another temporary plan
You do not need to be perfectly motivated or confident before beginning.
Coaching is designed for real life—including the weeks when motivation fades, stress increases, plans become disrupted, or old patterns begin to return.
When Therapy or Other Support May Be More Appropriate
Insights Coaching is action-oriented and focuses on goals, habits, practical implementation, accountability, and behavior change.
It is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, medical care, nutritional treatment, or crisis support.
Therapy may be a more appropriate place to begin when your primary needs involve depression, anxiety, trauma, an eating disorder, significant relationship concerns, emotional instability, or other mental health symptoms requiring assessment and treatment.
Medical or nutritional concerns should be addressed with an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.
Some people participate in both therapy and coaching when the services address different needs.
We can discuss these distinctions during the consultation if you are uncertain about the most appropriate starting point.
You Do Not Need Another Perfect Beginning
Many people postpone change because they believe they need to feel more motivated, become more disciplined, find the perfect plan, or wait for life to become less complicated.
That moment may never arrive.
A more sustainable beginning is often much smaller: becoming honest about what is not working, identifying what kind of support you need, and choosing one realistic place to begin.
The consultation is simply an opportunity to explore whether Insights Coaching may be an appropriate next step.
You do not need to promise perfect follow-through.
You only need to be willing to begin practicing a different way forward.
Begin With a Consultation
The first step is a complimentary consultation.
We will discuss what you hope to change, the level of support you are looking for, and whether group, dyad, or individual coaching may be the best fit for your needs.
The consultation is also an opportunity to ask questions about coaching formats, fees, scheduling, and the initial three-month Foundation Period before deciding whether Insights Coaching feels right for you.
DISCLAIMER
Insights Coaching provides coaching services and is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, nutrition treatment, eating disorder treatment, or mental health treatment. Participation in coaching does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
Coaching is not appropriate as the primary support for an active or suspected eating disorder, mental health crisis, medical instability, or any concern requiring psychotherapy, medical care, nutrition therapy, psychiatric care, or a higher level of treatment.
