WHO I HELP
Hello and welcome! I offer reduced fee therapy that supports individuals and couples having relationship challenges. Whether it’s pre or post separation or divorce, sex with your partner after a newborn, determining if a romantic relationship is right for you, or transitions big or small, our work together will empower you to make positive and meaningful change in your life and relationships.
Life is about who you are in relationship, whether that relationship is with your partner, your coworker, your boss, your friend, your ex, or someone you haven’t even met yet. How you react, how you communicate, what level of awareness you have of yourself, your reactions, triggers, attachments, communication styles, all of it matters! We’re not explicitly taught or socialized to get better at being in relationships. Luckily, therapy is a great place to nurture and cultivate these relational parts of ourselves, so that the relationships in our lives can FLOURISH.
Therapy is incredibly beneficial to anyone who wants to gain insight into themselves, get better at relationships, and plain old add tools to their “tool box for life.” I’m passionate about removing the stigma from therapy, so that we can make a dent in breaking down the walls of comparison and shame many of us experience on the daily. #thankyoufacebookinstagrametc.
We are at our core creatures of connection, we need a village: support, play, connection, growth. These values have been my foundation throughout my own growth and change, and I’m committed to helping my own clients grow in ways that inspire them.
I genuinely care about people and the process we humans experience on the many paths of life. People have described me as enthusiastic and warm. Authenticity and “not-beating-around-the-bush” are some of the the values that I hold highly. “Clear and direct” is where I can help you meet your goals. I bring a level of passion and energy in my pursuit of my client’s growth, and that passion and energy tends to wear off on others in a positive way! I also have an uncanny ability to read people and to empathize with what they share.
Therapy is sacred space. I honor that space, and all of my clients that are doing the brave work of self reflection. I’m socially and politically working to neutralize the institutional and systemic inequalities that are deeply rooted in our society, and am mindful and conscientious of checking my own biases.
I come from a variety of settings (active duty military service, juvenile detention, the corporate business and sales world, non-traditional student status, as well as two cross-country moves with children in tow), which has provided me the opportunity to experience lots of different surroundings and to engage with a diverse array of people. Being able to connect with people on a common human level is one skill that I’m most proud of.
Yoga is a highlight and great stress reliever for me and I have a ton of fun doing a monthly trivia group. My kids and I grow veggies in our front yard yard (yup, in the front), and play with the fabulous families that have made my neighborhood in Richfield the amazing little village that I’m so happy to call home.
