LINDSAY STRONG, INTERN (she/hers)

WHO I HELP
I help women create a foundation for empowerment by finding a different connection with themselves, with relationships, and with their world.
You’ll get support as you live big, choose joy and discover pleasure for yourself.
You are not alone. You are not a freak, you are not a broken mess.
You’re simply a human living in a wonderful, messy, marvelous, and sometimes really painful world. Let’s process your humanness.
Together, we’ll normalize the hard and create a more powerful story for you to live in. Sadly, women are taught to be small, especially millennial women – so,
let’s get to some good, hard work and change that!
I support couples who are struggling with disconnection, communication, conflict, power dynamics, as well as sex & intimacy. We will explore what’s going on with your disconnection and how it relates to intimacy – both emotional and sexual. How do you make decisions together? What messages are you trying to send? Let’s figure out what tools and support you need to feel closer!
For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.
~ Michelle Obama
In our work together, you get to do some deep thinking and ask big questions. Like, where am I going and what the hell am I doing? Who am I vs. the reality of the world and having to pay bills? As 20 something women and couples, we are just a little bit over it … life is hard and annoying, our jobs suck, our boyfriends suck. There are student loans, and we’re constantly stressed – this is the new normal and it’s visceral. So, it’s scary for all of us right now and when something doesn’t feel good we want the not-feel-good to go away. I so get it!
This is where therapy can really help. Getting the unconditional support from a warm, nonjudgmental therapist with skills to share can be a game-changer. I’ll teach you mindfulness, perspective-shifting, and a new superpower that spots your own cognitive distortions. You’ll also get some attachment style know-how, communication 101, as well as shame resiliency. Can you say hook me up?!!
Three things Lindsay lives by: HUMILITY, KINDNESS, and LOVE.
ABOUT ME
People have said that I’m like a tattooed Snow White – gentle, fierce, and really, really kind. I genuinely care about people and respect my clients and their process. You are the expert and you know your life! I’m a knowledgeable co-creator and collaborator on the therapeutic journey to your best self. My secret wish is that clients get empowered to do what they really want in the world!
Originally from Texas and Utah, I now live in North with my Fiancée, two dogs, two cats as well as usually one or two more foster pups running around. I’m an artist and a writer, and also like to rock climb and boulder. In a previous chapter, I was a powerlifter. Now, I still lift weights and get giddy during those moments when I’m one of the strongest women in the room! I like to get creative in the kitchen and went to culinary school before I attended college. I am insatiably curious about everything and happiest when I’m learning something new.
